It can be used in combination with an ETOR-55 or an ETOG-55 to detect falling temperatures, or as a stand alone temperature sensor*  The ETF should be mounted to a wall, under the eaves on the north side of the building. But it should not be mounted where it will be exposed to direct sunlight or other heat influences
